Crack Isolation & Decoupling Membrane
A decoupling or crack isolation membrane is the most reliable way to solve many of the problems associated with tiling onto problem substrates like chipboard, anhydrite or gypsum screeds, as well as heated floors. By absorbing stress in the substrate, the tiled surface is allowed to stay intact. Installing crack matting permits moisture dispersion from new screeds. Dural Durabase CI ++ and Mapei WP 200 matting can also function as a fully waterproof tanking system.
