Prime all cement based surfaces with 1 coat of 4120 sealer diluted with water, 1:3. Do not prime marine plywood surfaces. |
At the floor / wall joint use 100mm Safecoat strips pressed into a covering of Mira 4400 multicoat. |
Cover the Safecoat strips with a further coat of Mira 4400 multicoat, ensuring that it is fully covered. The Mira 4400 multicoat should extend 100mm up the wall |
Around pipes the appropriate Safecoat manchete should be used. Cut a hole in the "manchete" slightly smaller than the diameter of the pipe, place the "manchete" over the pipe an press down firmly against the floor. After fitting saturate the "manchete" with Mira 4400 multicoat, |
Floor drains should be sealed using large "manchete", which features a self adhesive central area. |
After positioning the "manchete" around the drain aperture the surrounding material should be bedded in a layer of Mira 4400 multicoat, and sealed with a further coat, ensuring full coverage and saturation. |
Start to coat the floor with Mira 4400 multicoat and simultaneously cover with Safecoat, rolling the material in to the coating. |
A second coat of Mira 4400 multicoat should be immediately applied to the Safecoat making sure that the material is fully covered and saturated. To check for complete waterproofing of the surface ensure that no trace of the original white colour of the Safecoat remains |
Allow the Mira 4400 multicoat approximately 12 hours to dry (depending on the room temperature and humidity) before any further surface treatment. |
