Instructions:
Shake bottle before use. Experiment on spare tiles, before general application, so that methods of use are fully understood. Read all instructions before use.
Directions:
Ensure surface to be treated is completely dry and free from contaminants which may prevent Oldtone Oil from properly curing. Apply by brush and allow to cure thoroughly (usually at least 24 hours) before polishing with LTP Beeswax. The action of applying the beeswax removes some of the 'Oldtone' and it is the remaining 'Oldtone' beneath the polish which provides the 'aged' appearance. The longer the oil is allowed to cure, the more difficult it is to remove and the darker the finish will be. For an even darker finish a second coat of 'Oldtone' may be applied and allowed to cure thoroughly. This should be done before use of the Beeswax. Finally, when satisfied that the correct tone has been achieved, buff LTP Beeswax Polish to a shine. After use, clean equipment with genuine turpentine or white spirit. Replace cap firmly. Store away from heat and flames.
Coverage:
Approximately 10 sq / m per litre (one coat).
Attention:
Allow ventilation during application. 'Oldtone' may cure more rapidly in dry or higher temperature conditions. Avoid working in direct sunlight; rapid oxidisation may inhibit effectiveness of the product. Do not let the oil oxidise on the surface of the tile and remove any surplus not absorbed within one or two hours of application. 'Oldtone' is a stain and may not be suitable for all surfaces. Please note that it may also accentuate the pattern of extrusion lines in some terracotta. FLAMMABLE Keep out of reach of children. Do not drink. After contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Maintenance:
Use Stonefix Maintenance Liquid to wash the floor and buff when dry. Repolish dull areas with LTP Beeswax. This information is offered without guarantee. The material should be used so as to take account of the local conditions and the surfaces to be treated. In case of doubt, the product should be tried out in an inconspicuous area.
