Description:
LTP Clear Beeswax is a soft paste, blended from three types of wax - Beeswax, Carnauba Wax (one of the toughest natural waxes known to man - obtained from Palm trees) and Paraffin Wax for its blending properties. LTP Clear Beeswax gives treated surfaces an excellent shine and provides a resilient protective layer against water, dust, dirt and a variety of commonly found household contaminants. It comes ready to use, is applied by cloth and easily polished.
Field Of Use:
LTP Clear Beeswax may be used on Terracotta, Quarry Tiles, Victorian Tiles, Natural Stone, Slate, Marble, Terrazzo and Wood.
Coverage:
On most floors - 1 litre LTP Clear Beeswax/10 square metres of floor (for two coats).
General Directions For Use:
Please Note - when using LTP Clear Beeswax on higher absorbency floors, the wax may be absorbed into and below the surface, consequently proving difficult to shine. Therefore, when treating such floors, it may necessary to reduce the absorbency by applying a primary seal of LTP Boiled Linseed Oil, LTP Cleartone (on wood) or Stonefix Matt Finish Sealer prior to application of LTP Clear Beeswax.
The surface to be treated should be completely, clean and dry and any pre-polish sealer thoroughly cured or oxidised (see above). Apply sparingly with a soft fluff-free cloth, working manageable areas at a time. Quickly buff wax to a shine using a short haired brush or mechanical polisher.
Maintenance:
Our neutral cleaner Stonefix Maintenance Liquid is recommended for routine maintenance cleaning. Dull areas should be repolished using LTP Clear Beeswax. Blemishes caused by grease and oil may be lessened by working over the affected area with more LTP Clear Beeswax. Wax build up may be lessened by use of LTP Genuine Turpentine.
Please Note:
Fully hardened Clear Beeswax may dry slightly opaque (slightly white), especially if it is over applied. This whiteness may show up more on darker, rougher tiles. Therefore, it is advisable to test the wax on an inconspicuous area prior to general application. LTP Clear Beeswax may not properly harden if too much polish is applied or if it applied to surfaces containing moisture. In either case it may be difficult to obtain a shine. Clear Beeswax will not polish properly if used on partially cured sealers or if the floor has not properly been pre-sealed. Clear Beeswax may be less ably applied in cold weather, in which case it may help to warm the can in tepid water (N.B. Do not use naked flame).
